Anne Shaw from the Diocesan Inter-religious Commission writes:
The Diocesan Inter-religious Commission held its annual World Peace Service at St. Cuthbert's Church, Durham City on Sunday, 19th October.
The service was lead by Fr. Colin Carr OP, with members of the Commission taking part in the entrance procession and students from Newcastle Universities reading passages from Scripture.
Rev. Sujatin Johnson, Order of Amida Buddha, was guest speaker and she gave an interesting Buddhist perspective on hope in a world of conflict.
After the service guests and participants enjoyed a reception in the Parish Centre.
