Flower Festival Thursday 12th – Sunday 15th June 10 a.m. - 6.00 p.m.
As part of the bicentenary celebrations a flower festival, running in conjunction with the 150th anniversary of the apparitions that took place at the Marian Shrine in Lourdes, will take place at Ushaw.
The arrangements are based on the mysteries of the rosary, including the mysteries of light, and will be created by people from Parishes within the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle, as well as members of local flower clubs in the Northern Region. Artists have taken their inspiration from scripture and architecture within Ushaw College.
Each mystery will have a prayer focus, offering visitors a sense of pilgrimage.
There will be various liturgies throughout the duration of the Flower Festival.
