: WELCOME BACK CAMPAIGN

This campaign is gathering momentum in the diocese following three successful days promoting it and offering help with ideas etc.

The most recent of these was held in Gateshead at St Joseph's, and people from the Northern part of the diocese gathered together to find out how their parishes can take part in this campaign.

Listen to interview (5 minutes) with Sr Michael about the Welcome Back Campaign and most recent meeting(click on arrow below to listen)

Materials referred to during the meeting:

Some Definite Purpose (information, resources and initiatives to help reach out to non-churchgoing Catholics from Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales)

Crossing the Threshold (Summary of keynote talk by Fr Christopher Jamison OSB at National Conference: "The baptised know their purpose in Christ and are called to invite others to come to that knowledge too. The biggest obstacles are not the usual suspects such as materialism or apathy. The biggest challenge is that people are busy, happy and spiritual.")
