Evangelisation News and Events: Be Lights of the World
Framed pictures of Holman Hunt’s Christ the Light of the World and special Candles were distributed to all parishes in our diocese on Mission Sunday 24th October.
Two parish representatives from each parish came to a special liturgy at St Mary's Cathedral based on Christ the Light of the World and the need for us to continue that light in our daily lives. During this liturgy they were presented with the Candle and Picture.
The representatives took the candle and picture back to their parishes. Every time there is a parish meeting – Parish Council, Journey in Faith, Catechetical meetings, Prayer groups etc , the picture will be displayed and the candle lit.
