ST. HILDA'S DIOCESAN RESOURCE CENTRE

St. Hilda's Resource Centre

This is a great venue for getting away from the Parish for a Day together or meetings.
We are looking for more people to join those who have already volunteered to form a Hospitality Group. If you can spare a morning or afternoon, or more please let us know. I can be contacted on 0191 243 3313 or pat.kennedy@diocesehn.org.uk
Pat Kennedy M.P.S. Manager of St. Hilda's Resource Centre.

The centre is accessible between the hours of 9.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, but the times below indicate when welcomers are in the building to facilitate the borrowing of resources, etc. The centre is closed on Saturday's and Bank Holidays, except where prior bookings have been confirmed (see 'use by groups' below).

Thursday 10.00am - 12.00pm.

St. Hilda's is available for use by groups, etc. and there is also a private room, 'The Milburn Room', which holds old reference books, not for borrowing, but viewing by appointment. If anyone is doing any research, or wishes to make use of these facilities, please contact Pat as above.

At this time, in order to encourage familiarity of the facilities, etc. of St. Hilda's, the Bishop and his Board have decided that for Parishes and Diocesan Associations, there will be no charge made for use of rooms and facilities.

Donation of books and other resources:

Many thanks to all those who have contributed but we now have no room for any more books unless of rare category.

We are looking for:

  • Volunteers Monday to Saturday, morning and/or afternoon to join our Welcoming Group; to meet visitors, assist them in borrowing and returning resources, where to find topics they are looking for; to assist groups who use the facilities and also to sort and ticket new additions to the library.

  • Mobile storage units with plastic trays if any school has any to donate.
