DIOCESAN SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION PROGRAMMES

Baptism:

A Diocesan wide consultation is underway on the sacrament of baptism, the outcome of which will be used to inform the creation of new Diocesan Guidelines. Fr Michael McCoy, Head of Adult Formation is leading the consultation process along with Deborah Fox, Deputy Director of the Department for Education which began in November 2015 and ends at Easter 2016.

The aim is to engage with as many people as possible. In order to do so, five consultation events were held in the five episcopal areas.

Following this diocesan wide consultation, focused facilitated consultation events are being carried out in fifteen parishes by a team of priests and members of the baptism working group. These are taking place between January and Easter and details are being shared through parish newsletters.
