Apostleship of the Sea - Sea Sunday Service 2008
The now traditional service at the Coastwatch Station in Hartlepool was held once again on the afternoon of Sea Sunday, 13th July, when a group of 50 people from surrounding parishes came together for prayer, music, readings, Benediction, and the Blessing of the Port.

Gathering for Benediction
Led by Fr John Butters, the service was, as usual, a period of calm and quiet reflection during what is, for many AOS workers, a weekend of intense activity, speaking in parishes and being present wherever possible at various venues to promote both Sea Sunday itself, and the work of the Apostleship of the Sea.
Prayers were offered for seafarers and their families, and for the AOS and other societies who work in seafarers’ welfare.
