Papal Events
Large numbers of people from Hexham and Newcastle diocese are looking forward to attending one of the Papal Events during the coming UK visit of Pope Benedict in September.
Many from our diocese are going to the Papal Mass at Bellahouston Park, Glasgow and there are 24 departure points for this in the diocese.
A number of people are going to the Mass of Beatification of Cardinal Newman at Cofton Park, Birmingham, and some are going to the Hyde Park Vigil. Some members of the diocese are attending the Mass at Westminster Cathedral.
Those parishes that arranged coaches have had to appoint a Pilgrim Leader, who has had to put together lists of all those going and keep those lists for security checkpoints at the entrance to the Papal Events.
The Youth Ministry Team have arranged for young people from across the diocese to go to the Prayer Vigil at Hyde Park
