Pilgrimage to Spain 2018

 

The Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham at St. Osmund's Catholic Church, Gainford lead a Pilgrimage to Spain during August 2018.

The pilgrimage began in Madrid taking in Burgos and Leon before travelling onward to Santiago de Compostela. It took place between Monday 6 and Monday 13 August 2018.

Pilgrimage itinerary:

Full details are provided in this document, but in summary; after arriving in Spain the pilgrims spent two days in Madrid. After leaving Madrid and a brief stop at Santa Domingo de Silos Monastery for Mass, they arrived in Burgos. A day was spent there before moving on to Leon. A brief stop in Lugos preceded the transfer to Santiago de Compostela where two full days were spent at the final destination of the pilgrimage.

Mass was celebrated at each location, but there was also an opportunity to spend free time to visit and explore each location.
