Day of Reflection for RCIA Catechists
On Saturday 28th May RCIA teams from different parts of the diocese met for a Retreat Day at Minsteracres. This was a really lovely day and it offered an opportunity to reflect on all aspects of "the Journey" in a quiet and peaceful environment.

Fr Tony Cornforth led the day and his input encouraged the participants to think about their own journey, and to reflect on their ministry as RCIA teams
Elizabeth from Our Lady of Lourdes, Chopwell, said: "I really enjoyed the quiet time for us to think and renew ourselves ready for the journey starting again", and Anne from St Joseph's, Highfield, added: " It's given me the time to reflect on my own faith journey"

Silent Prayer in the beautiful Minsteracres Chapel
During the day Fr Tony led the group in both singing and reflecting on the words of several hymns, and in the afternoon there was exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and benediction.
Donna from St Mary, Blackhill, said: "I enjoyed looking at the words of the hymns - this helped us to reflect on the gospel, especially the Eucharist", and Kath, from St Pius,Consett, said: "I enjoyed the chance to network with other RCIA people. The Benediction in the Chapel we had at the end of the afternoon was so lovely and the theme running throughout the day of being called was really helpful and inspiring."
