Ordination to the Priesthood
The Ordination to the priesthood of Marc Lyden-Smith will take place on Saturday 12th June 2010 at St Aloysius, Hebburn at 11.00 am.

Permanent Deacons: Three new permanent deacons were ordained in 2009
Deacon: Marc Lyden-Smith, who will be starting his 6th at Ushaw in September, was ordained deacon on 19th June at Ushaw College, and will be ordained a priest next summer for our diocese.
Priests: Lee Barratt, Thomas McHale and David Smith were ordained to the priesthood at St Mary's Cathedral on July 25th at 11am.

This year four students from our Diocese are being ordained to the diaconate or priesthood:
On Friday 6th June Andrew Shaw was ordained to the priesthood at Ushaw.
On 13th June Tom McHale was ordained to the diaconate at the Beda, Rome.
