LEAD KINDLY LIGHT: CARDINAL NEWMAN - What does he mean for us today?
This diocesan day in September at St Joseph's was a very enjoyable exploration of the life and spirituality of Blessed John Henry Newman and highlighted the accessibility of his teachings, writings and spirituality for us today. The day was led by Sr Michael and Fr Stephen Watson (with help from other members of the Diocesan Evangelisation Team) who gave illustrated talks looking at the relevance and message of Newman for Evangelisation in our world today, and his influence on Vatican 11 and teaching on the laity.
