Visit by Cardinal Tagle to St Mary's Cathedral
Cardinal Tagle presided at the 12.05pm Mass in St. Mary's Cathedral with Bishop Seamus on Monday 9th March,
The Mass was extremely well attended, and people from all parts of the diocese and beyond gathered to welcome Cardinal Tagle to North East England.

At 7.00pm there was a special celebration presided over by Cardinal Tagle. This too was attended by large numbers of people from all parts of the diocese who came to listen to an address by Cardinal Tagle and to join in the joyful celebration.

Cardinal Tagle says farewell to Hexham and Newcastle diocese, after a tremendously successful visit to the UK and to our diocese,
His pastoral visit to the Filipino community in the diocese of Hexham and Newcastle was extremely well appreciated - St Mary's Cathedral was packed to overflowing at both the midday Mass and the evening Celebration, and his inspiring and dynamic talks encouraged and stirred everybody there.
The diocese looks forward to his next visit!
