St Bede's, Jarrow in the 1930's and 1940's
Following on from their successful Roofing Appeal last year St Bede's in Jarrow have been working quite closely with English Heritage, and after an open day at the end of last year, were presented with an exciting discovery - 9 reels of cinefilm found in a parishioner's loft containing incredible footage of life in and around St. Bede's in the 1930's and 1940's.
View a "trailer" of the film from YouTube, and if you think you can help identify any of the events in the footage then please contact
