Walsingham Association
The Walsingham Association
The Walsingham Association aims to encourage devotion to Our Lady, promotes pilgrimage to her English National Shrine, and prays for the sanctity of family life. Both clergy and laity can be members of the WA.
Each November, members are invited to gather in Walsingham for the Annual Retreat/AGM. There is also a Spring Week-end Meeting, usually in March.
Members receive the annual WA Newsletter in March. Contributions for print should be sent in by the end of January. The Shrine’s own Walsingham Newsletter is usually sent to members 3 times a year.
We now have 3 branches of the Walsingham Association in the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle, as the Tyneside Association has now closed. Remember you need not be a WA member to come on pilgrimage, although we do encourage you to join the Walsingham Association.
The Walsingham Association’s 3 branches in our Diocese are:
South Shields Branch – tel: 0191 455 4612
Hebburn Branch
Newton Aycliffe Branch
