Adoremus Eucharistic Congress:

The bishops of England and Wales will hold a National Eucharistic Pilgrimage and Congress in Liverpool from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 September 2018. Eucharistic Congresses are gatherings of clergy, religious and laity which promote an awareness of the central place of the Eucharist in the life and mission of the Church.

The Eucharistic Congress has been given the title Adoremus (let us adore). Every diocese in England and Wales will take part.

Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle participation

Bishop Séamus is keen for the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle to take a full and active part in the congress. As such the following has been agreed.

Saturday Attendance of Partnership delegates

Each partnership has been allocated 17 tickets for the Saturday event at Liverpool Echo Arena and has been asked to nominate an Adoremus coordinator who will take responsibility for some organisation and facilitation of meetings regarding Adoremus. It is the responsibility of each partnership to organise transport but partnerships joining together for shared transport is encouraged. The day tickets are £40.00 per delegate and it is expected that each partnership pays the fee and transport costs for those attending.

If you would like to attend on Saturday, please complete the booking form below and send by email or by post to, The Department for Liturgy, St. Cuthbert’s House, West Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE15 7PY.

To find out about any arrangements currently in place in your partnership, please contact the partnership dean/Adoremus coordinator. Partnership details can be found in our partnership directory.

Friday / Sunday Attendance

There is a charge of £40 for attendance on Friday 7 September. There is no charge to attend the Mass on Sunday 9 September.

In the event of partnership groups wishing to attend the Friday or Sunday events as well at the Saturday, then this will need to be organised through discussion with the partnership dean/coordinator.

Individuals can attend both days and if your partnership is not able to cover the cost of this, you can opt to pay for the Friday session. You may also need to organise your own transport/accommodation.

Please indicate on the form if you will be in attendance on Friday and/or Sunday. Places for these days are limited.

Further information regarding the Friday and Sunday programme can be accessed here.
